My name is Eleni, and my journey began in Greece, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology before moving to the Netherlands to complete my Master’s in Child and Adolescent Psychology at Leiden University.
With over 15 years of experience as a special needs and early years educator, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how young minds flourish. Today, as the founder of Steps Psychology, I provide dedicated support to children, teenagers, and families both in-person in the Netherlands and online.
I believe that social and emotional development is the cornerstone of a fulfilled life. My practice is grounded in a "growth mindset" philosophy, helping young people discover their own inner resilience. To do this, I integrate evidence-based clinical approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with elements of Creative Arts and Playtherapy into my sessions.
In my free time, I enjoy singing and acting. I bring this creative energy into my sessions—using elements of creative play to help younger children navigate scary or complex life issues and using creative expression to help teenagers find their voice, build social confidence, and tackle the real-world challenges that come with growing up.
